[OMG FURIOUS KNOCKING AT JAPAN'S DOOR] Japan-형! Japan-형! Japan-형! Japan-형! Japan-형! Japan-형!
[He's not going away because he wants to explore with Japan while BRAGGING! BECAUSE HE WAS FIRST, DA ZE!]
[ After a sigh, Japan opens the door. ]
Yes, Korea-san?
[YOINK. KOREA HAS YOU NOW. The taller Asian grins, as he drags Japan along toward where America and Russia had been wrestling.]
We're going exploring!
[ Japan stumbles buts gets dragged along. He knows he wouldn't be able to beat Korea in a tug-a-war. ]
I thought you had already explored.
I want to show you where I explored! And I claimed it for Korea! URI NARA MANSAE!
[That's right Japan. You're totes mah uke now. xP]
[ wait, what no that was not part of the agreement, Korea. I don't participate in this whole uke-seme buisness, I draw it. ]
I can imagine some of the countries will not be happy with that statement.
[Sorry, it's in the fine print along with the part where your breasts belong to me.]
Oh, America and Russia were just playing some game in front of the door. If they would have really cared, they would have played outside first, right?
[They reach the mansion doors, and Korea's tugging, more excited now.]
This way, this way!
[ OBJECTION. I am old I told you not to write in fine print, I CAN'T READ IT DARNNIT. ]
......Games?
[ Japan didn't think those two would actually play "games" together. Unless it was like... Russian Roulette or something dangerous as that. Prehaps he should check on America later on. Just in case. ]
Is it safe wearing no protective suit at all, Korea-san?
[Of course, after Korea's already opened the door he answers.]
Yeah, for some reason it's not all CO2! Which is weird, because I was pretty sure the atmosphere on Mars wasn't breatheable. Despite the fact it's similiar to the Earth's terrain!
[Lolz, remember Korea's actually a scholar. He's just caught a bad case of the derp.]
I see..
[ And Japan, although a hikikomori, always had curiosity for new things. He followed Korea out the door, marveling at the new planet. Too bad he didn't bring his camera or else there would be much shutter clicking now ]
[What a sight. It's pretty cool even though it's just....red. Though. Something catches Korea's eye.]
What's that over there?

Let's see what's down here!
no subject
Are you sure it is safe?

[Too bad Japan, getting dragged down there with your idiot brother.]
no subject
[ he gets dragged :< be nice to your elders korea, i thought you were rather strict on that ]
I have a bad feeling about this..

Until he gets to the bottom of the stairs. Because the barrel of a gun is suddenly pressing into his temporal lobe. He releases Japan and tries to force a laugh.]
Japan-형. Go back up the stairs.
no subject
What are you talking about Korea-san? Who is there?
no subject
Japan-형. Please. I don't want you to-
[He's yanked down and on his knees. There's only one person who's strong that can intimidate him like this. Korea steadies a breath. There is no hyper tone to his voice. It's small right now. Probably from the shock.]
형, let Japan-형 go.
no subject
North...Korea-san...
[ He walks one step forward, to be more closer to Korea and places his hand on the younger's shoulder. He could tell the other was scared. ]
It is okay, Korea-san...I will p-
[ He stops though when he recognizes just where they were in. They were supposed to be inside a hole, but now...the sky was bright and the sun was shining down on them. It was the middle of a old fashioned houses. There were people walking by. He knew this place. He knew these style of houses. ]
Hiroshima?
[ his eyes were transfixed with the scene before him, rather than the person now ]

Jap-
[It was a stark contrast to what was going on. The shining sun and brightness was not nearly as welcomed as it should be. But. This wasn't scenery he was used to. In fact it looked like it had come from Japan's house. A glance to the older nation confirmed it.
When Japan spoke, Korea's face paled. Notably. Was this like their worst nightmares realized?
He couldn't find words. Especially not as he heard the sound of a trigger being slowly squeezed. Which brought his attention back to the fact he was still in trouble.]
형...I didn't want to leave. But I had to...
no subject
He wished he had his sword with him. Japan wasn't too sure if he could fight against North Korea while protecting Korea. But now wasn't the time to think, he slightly stepped forward to place himself between Korea and North Korea. Not completely though. ]
North Korea-san, please leave.
[ What Japan didn't notice was the plane flying in the clear sky in the distance ]
no subject
No! Leave Japan-형 alone!
[Korea grits his teeth and gets to his feet. He's taken on his brother once before. Even if he didn't win, he can do it again.
He lunges, tackling North Korea to the ground. The gun slides into the ground, and the two begin to wrestle for it.]
no subject
[ his words were stopped however, by a flash of blinding light coming from the side. Japan froze and before he could reach for Korea or do anything, he felt a huge heat wave on his face and a searing pain at his ankle. ]
no subject
The blinding light sears his eyes, and North Korea takes the opportunity to grab the gun.
A shot echoes on the air. Korea slowly looks down to his shoulder. It's bleeding, and he winces, trying to muffle the sounds of his pain.
In addition, Korea has also just scored a lovely dose of radiation poisoning.]
no subject
The pain. The fire. The death. He could feel it once more. It was too much. Japan let out a piercing scream at the same time the shot from North Korea's gun was heard. ]
no subject
Is this what Japan felt twice?
The pain is not over for him, unfortunately. Because his brother is standing above him and steps on his hand, crushing his fingers. Korea tries to bite back the cry but fails. Another stomp on his chest. The cracking sound certainly comes from a rib bone.]
no subject
Japan wanted to cry. From the pain and despair but he couldn't. There was no water in him, the bomb had dried it all up. His throat was parched. All he could do was watch North Korea do what he wanted. ]
/has no appropriate icon orz
But this is also when he caught sight of Japan writhing in pain. Korea moved his body forward, trying to reach for the smaller nation. The next kick from his brother shifted his attention again, however. It was hard and fast, into his ribcage. There was another cry. The effects of the radiation weren't helping either.]
no subject
Japan instead tried to call out for Korea. But once he opened his mouth all he got were coughes. They irritated his already dry throat, and soon his coughes had blood mixed in them. Still he tried again to call the other's name. ]
....-rea....Kor-- san...Korea...san..
[ It was a rasp of voice, rather than a whisper. And it was quickly replaced by a cough attack, as dots of blood splattered on the ground ]

Unfortunately, as he raised his head, his gaze fixed on a blade pointed at his throat. Eyes widened, because that presence was certainly a surprise.
Imperial Japan loomed over him, North Korea standing at his side. Korea's hands shook because he was outnumbered. Feeling helpless. He remembered this feeling. Of being a slave to one and afraid of the other. Of war. Of trying to stand his ground. The memories and pain of his citizens flooded into him ontop of all of the physical pain.
And to add insult to injury, he bowed his head and recognized what he was wearing.
His tattered army uniform.
Snapping him from his thoughts and mental anguish was Japan's heel crashing into the top of his head. Korea's forehead met the ground and he cried out once more.]

After a few more coughes, Japan gritted his teeth and pushed himself on his elbows. He ignored the pain through his body. It wasn't doing both of them any good to stay here any longer. His kimono (he didn't know why it didn't burn off) rubbed against his burns and his palms were beginning to bleed from the nails digging into them. Still, he managed to stand up and he willed himself to step forward. He felt glad a bit he couldn't feel his right leg anymore. He was sure he wouldn't be able to stand the pain if he felt it.
He stumbled his way towards Korea a few steps away. Japan staggered, but he directed his body to land on his other self, still stepping on Korea's head, effectively knocking the other to the ground. ]
no subject
Suddenly, Imperial Japan is flung off of him, and he blinks up to see the real Japan is the culprit. Korea is struck with panic.]
Japan-형!!
[Unfortunately, he has his own problems to deal with. North Korea's full attention is on him again, and he's being dragged by his ankles. But he doesn't want it to end like this. Despite the pain in his shoulder, he grips into the earth, trying to bring some form of resistance. But nothing is wedged in the ground that would aid him. He does manage to grab hold of a random piece of debris, fortunately. It's his last shot. Twisting, he lobs the piece of wood at his brother's head. It connects, and his adrenaline pushes him to his feet. He starts dashing back to Japan. Or at least. He tries. Kinda hard to run with wheezing and this much pain. Korea more or less stumbles closer, trying to get close enough to help. Not much he can do, but still...]

Japan tried to flip his body to his stomach so it would be easier to stand back up, when he realized he couldn't. Something was keeping the lower right half of his body down. Looking towards it, he found 'Japan' standing over him with the sword impaled through his right thigh. Japan looked surprised, he didn't feel the sword at all.
Japan quickly kicked his left leg, and the doppleganger stumbled back. Before the other could catch his balance, Japan yanked out the sword from his leg, and used that as support to stand up.
He hears Korea calling for him and looks up. ]

Japan-형! Get out of here! Find help!
[Because clearly, what they need are more people and thus more nightmares down here. Korea starts hacking up blood again and is slowly being forced to his knees. North Korea is making his stride back over, leaning over to pick up the gun once more.]
no subject
[ Instead of heading for the stairs, Japan instead limps toward Korea. He grabs for his brother's arm sleeve, and tries his best to tug him back up. Which...really isn't much strength. ]
I will not leave you here alone. There is still radiation about and it will be dangerous to stay here even more. We h-
[ Japan stops mid-talk to cough violently. Blood dribbled down the corner of his mouth and his chest began to hurt, but he wiped the blood off with his free hand ]
We... will leave here..together, Korea-san. Please..stand up.

Imperial Japan was busy getting to his feet as well, so Korea took a breath and made to move toward the exit, present day Japan in tow. This is all a nightmare. It can't be real. He keeps telling himself that as they stumble back toward the stairs they came from.
Just a little farther. They can make it.
They have to.]
no subject
The two reached the stairs, and although Japan wanted to know if the other two were not far behind, he didn't look back. He just felt that looking back was a bad idea. ]
no subject
Now his lung decided it was punctured. Great. Thanks a lot.
But they were so close. Not now. With a final heave of strength he pulled Japan up into the safety of the stairwell. He could feel his lung filling up with blood. He'd drown from it and that'd be the end.
Only.
He was breathing just fine. He blinked. Looking back down the stairs, there was nothing there. Korea listened. No gunfire. No battle. No sound besides their breathing.
What just happened?]
Are you alright, Japan-형?
no subject
I....am okay, Korea-san. What about you?
[ he could talk without coughing once more ]
no subject
Well, except for the fact his stomach felt like he was ready to puke.]
We should...get back to the ship.
[He tried to flop his sleeves a bit in the normal fashion, but even the spirit of Korea was limping a bit downtrodden.]
no subject
It was too real to be a dream though. It had hurt so much and he felt everything. He could still remember the pain.
But now wasn't the time to be thinking that. He wanted to get off of this place now. He wanted to go back to his room, where he knew it was safe. He didn't want to see this barren land anymore. It reminded him of... ]
Let us go, Korea-san.
[ He began walking towards the ship ]

Korea simply nods and follows along after Japan, silently.
On Korea's list of things to do is sleep, be mopey, and track down some alcohol. SOMEHOW. But of course, all of this is kept to himself, keeping his pace with Japan without a word.]
